a. Helmets must be full head coverage type and must meet the American Standards Association Z90.1-1966 testing standards. To be eligible for use in NASCAR competition, the manufacturer of any model helmet must furnish NASCAR with certification that the helmet in question has been tested according to ASA requirements.
