Section 21-22 -- Glass

a. Full windshield and rear window in good condition compulsory, but may be protected by a colorless transparent plastic covering. External fastening on rear window and windshield recommended. Plastic coverings must be removed in pit area only and not while car is in motion.

Championship points will not be awarded to any car starting without rear window glass. Rear window glass may be replaced with a transparent sheet of plastic same thickness as original glass and it must be securely fastened and must remain in place throughout the race or points will be forfeited.

b. All side window glass must conform to original size and thickness, and all opening and closing equipment must remain as orignally manufactured. You can race without side glasses.

Positively no Plastic side windows. All cars must have two steel straps not less than 1/8" x 1" on Rear Glass.

Plastic glass allowed in rear window only, but must be same thickness as original glass, and must be secured with 2 steel straps not less than 1/8" x 1" bolted to glass.

c. Windshield washers must be of standard production size and type. No hand pumps. No pressure systems.

d. Headlight lenses and sealbeams must be removed and holes covered with sheet metal. Wire screens not permitted. Minimum penalty, forfeiture of points for the event.

e. Rear-view mirror must not extend outside of car.
