1974 NASCAR International Stock Car Racing Rule Book Preface

To enhance the safety of participants in automobile stock car racing, as well as that of the spectators, and to provide for the orderly conduct of stock car racing events, requires adherence to the rules hereinafter set forth. All NASCAR members agree to comply with these NASCAR Rules, as they may from time to time be amended, which rules shall govern the conduct of all NASCAR sanctioned events. These rules supersede the rules contained in the 1973 NASCAR Rule Book, as well as the amendments thereto, and shall remain in force and effect except as amended as provided herein or until superseded by the publication of the next annual NASCAR Rule Book.
