1974 NASCAR International Stock Car Racing Rule Book Late Model Sportsman Division Section 20B-12 -- Electrical System

a. Any NASCAR approved distributor allowed on any manufacturer's line.

b. No magnetos or control spark from cock pit allowed.

c. Dual points allowed in all distributors.

d. NASCAR approved transistor system allowed on all models.

e. Self-starter must be in working condition. All cars must start under their own power. After event is under way cars may be hand pushed to get started but this is to be done in pits only.

f. Batteries must be under hood only. When batteries have been removed from their original mounting position to another location under the hood the new mounting position must be approved by NASCAR.
