1974 NASCAR International Stock Car Racing Rule Book Late Model Sportsman Division Section 20B-2 -- Engine

a. Identical engines may be interchanged. Year is optional.

NOTE: Identical means identical in every respect except carburetion, pistons, camshaft profile and tappets, and which is produced and/or installed by a single division of a manufacturer.

b. Only NASCAR approved engines permitted.

c. Engine displacement may be increased by boring or stroking provided the total displacement does not exceed 433 cubic inches maximum engine size permitted in this division.

d. Cylinder blocks must be production with standard external measurements in all respect with the exception of the permissible overbore not to exceed 433 cubic inches.

(Formula for determining cubic inches: Bore x Bore x .7854 x Stroke x number of cylinders equals cubic inch displacement).
