1974 NASCAR International Stock Car Racing Rule Book Late Model Sportsman Division Section 20B-31 -- Seats

a. Bucket seats are mandatory, but must be factory manufactured and NASCAR approved. Positively no homemade aluminum, plastic or fiberglass seats allowed. Note the diagram in the rear pages of this book. This is the only approved seat installation and seat structure accepted.

b. NASCAR-approved padded head rest mandatory. (See diagrams in rear pages of Rule Book).
