1974 NASCAR International Stock Car Racing Rule Book

Section 20B-34 -- Wheels

a. Any NASCAR approved wheel allowed. No dual wheels. No magnesium wheels permitted.

b. All wheels must be of same size, fourteen inch or fifteen inch recommended.

c. Rim width must not exceed 9 1/2 inches, except on tracks of less than one mile where maximum rim width of 10 inches is permitted. Wheels and tires may not protrude beyond outer edges of fenders.

d. Heavy duty lug bolts must be used.

e. Any offset wheel may be used provided wheels do not extend outside body shell. Fenders may be altered so as to cover tire.

f. Any steel hub or approved alloy hub allowed. Wheels must be reinforced.

NOTE: 1971 and 1972 model full size and intermediate size race cars and/or selected approved small cars the maximum allowable wheel rim width is 9 1/2 inches.
