1974 NASCAR International Stock Car Racing Rule Book Modified Division Section 20C-24 -- Seats

a. Bucket seats are mandatory, but must be factory manufactured and NASCAR approved. Positively no homemade aluminum, plastic or fiberglass seats allowed. (When using an approved fiberglass seat for a liner it must be mounted on an approved steel frame.)

b. NASCAR-approved padded head rest mandatory.

c. All seat tracks must be bolted or welded so seat is in permanent position. (See diagrams on rear pages of Rule Book.)

d. Seats are not permitted past center of race car.
