1974 NASCAR International Stock Car Racing Rule Book Section 7 -- Special Rules

1. Special rules may be made by the NASCAR official in charge of the event for a certain area, track or racemeet [sic] due to extraordinary conditions, and must be made known to all competitors before racemeet [sic] or event by means of a bulletin, Newsletter, telegram, entry blank or pre-race meeting.

2. Special rules in regard to specifications for weekly events will not be in effect for any NASCAR racing division until such rules or changes are published by NASCAR Headquarters in bulletin form or in the NASCAR Newsletter, which also will be considered as an official bulletin.
