the N@50 project - Winged Warriors
By Jan Kohl
In conjunction with
AeroWarriors.com,
IWCCCARS is proud to present the Winged Warriors for
The Pits and
Simulator Cyberworld's N@50 patch...many people have been waiting YEARS
for a chance to drive the Plymouth SuperBird and Dodge Daytona...and many
thought they would never see them again. But they're back and better than
ever in this recreation of the NASCAR warriors from the late '60s and early
'70s.

Papyrus' NASCAR Racing 2 simulator SVGA (required for this car set).
Jim Kerekes and Wes Hurd provided the artistic skill necessary to
do all nineteen cars in the set. Ken Noffsinger of AeroWarriors.com
provided historical data and photos.
Below is a special gallery presented on AeroWarriors.com in conjunction with
this release of the Winged Warriors - a photo exhibition with exclusive
photos of Richard Petty's SuperBird...that never got to race.
the real 'bird
Unfortunately, this SuperBird was never actually driven by Petty in a
NASCAR event (at least not as a SuperBird), but it none-the-less serves
as a fairly faithful reproduction of the ones that were. It was built a
few years after the SuperBirds and Daytonas were outlawed from NASCAR
competition as a project car showing all of the things that could have
been done to the SuperBird had it been allowed to continue in
competition.

the download
Click on the 'bird to download the IWCCCARS Winged Warriors car set
for NASCAR Racing.
NOTE: It is recommended that you acquire
the N@50 patch (found at
The Pits or
Simulator Cyberworld) prior to running the SuperBird set, however
they can be used on any version of Papyrus' NASCAR2 or NASCAR99 without
the patch. Papyrus' NASCAR Racing 2, NASCAR99 or NASCAR 50th Anniversary
Edition are required for this patch, which is Rendition and 3dfx
compatible. This car set is not to be posted on any other web site,
or provided on any other form of digital media without express written
permission of
IWCCCARS or
The Pits.
